Day 1Day 2Day 3; Day 4

For a recap of the rules, check out this post.

Question #1 (4 possible points):  Name 3 Northwestern football games that were decided by 2-point conversions, and what was Northwestern’s record in those 3 games?

*EDIT:  We just want to make it clear that we are specifically referring to games where the LAST PLAY was a 2-point conversion!

**EDIT TO THE EDIT:  OK, not necessarily the LITERAL LAST PLAY, but the game was effectively won or lost on a 2-pointer that happened right at the end of the game.

Question #2 (4 possible points):  Name the player who caught the SECOND Victory Right pass in 2001, name the player who scored the winning points in the same game, and name both players on the opposing team who returned a kick or punt for a touchdown in the same game.

Question #3 (2 possible points):  Name the player who “stripped” Anthony Thomas in the Instant Classic Game in 2000, and name the player who recovered the fumble.

Question #4 (2 points):  Identify the Player, Season, and Opponent in this photo. (We went with a little more of an abstract look on this one, but all the clues you need to answer it are there if you’re paying attention!)

Day 2 Clean Sweep Bonus: 3 points

Day 1Day 2; Day 3

For a recap of the rules, check out this post.

Question #1 (4 possible points):  The second of the “Deep Cut” trivia questions is a doozy.  It only tangentially involves NU Football, but we had to include it:

Napoleon Harris played for an absolute juggernaut of a high school basketball team.  How loaded was this team?  There were roughly 30 NFL/NBA seasons of talent on the roster, and that actually sells the depth of the team short!

This squad quite likely would have won 3 straight Illinois State Championships…but the same team (winner of FOUR straight championships) knocked them out of the state tourney all three years.

Name Napo’s high school, name any one of his hoops teammates, name the team that knocked his school out those three years, and name any player on THAT team.

Question #2 (3 possible points):  What team was removed from Northwestern’s schedule as a result of 9/11, what team replaced it, and who was the coach of the replacement team?

Question #3 (3 possible points):  Name 3 players who played both football and baseball at Northwestern.

Question #4 (2 points):  Identify the Player, Season, and Opponent in this photo. (Apologies for the res on this one.)

Day 2 Clean Sweep Bonus: 3 points

Question #1 (3 possible points):  The next two days feature a pair of truly “deep cut” trivia questions.  Here’s the first:

What football position did Ian Park’s brother Alex play, and for what 2 colleges did he play it?  (HINT:  One of these schools is perennially ranked with or around Northwestern in the US News Rankings)

Question #2 (2 possible points):  Accurately describe the signature post-sack dances/moves of two current or former NFL Defensive Linemen who played their college ball at NU.

Question #3 (2 possible points):  In 2005, Northwestern ran for one touchdown and threw for another in the final 2:10 to shock Iowa.  Who ran for the first TD, and who caught the second TD?

Question #4 (1 point):  Identify the Player, Season, and Opponent in this photo.
