Episode 508: Iowa 33-Northwestern 13 w/Doug Lesmerises
When your defense makes the 131st ranked offense look like a real offense for the first time this season, there’s really not much need to go too deep into the game recap. Suffice to say, Iowa cleaned Northwestern’s clock last Saturday. With #2 Ohio State set to come into Ryan Field this week, we decided to change things up a bit and welcome in columnist and podcaster Doug Lesmerises to shed some light at the media’s dealing with stubborn coaches. Episode 507: Maryland 31-Northwestern 24
While we definitely saw sparks of life out of the offense this week, continued self-inflicted wounds and a lack of imagination in scheme led Northwestern to yet another loss. With this weekend’s game against the incredible D and putrid O of Iowa looming, will the Cats be able to salvage anything out of the 2022 season? We are your premier Northwestern Sports Podcast! 2022 Summer Previews: Iowa
The calendar may have turned from 2021 to 2022, but with Kirk Ferentz still going strong at Iowa, it looks like we might have a very similar Hawkeye team to last season’s. Will they be able to ride their dynamic Defense back to Indy or will their offensive struggles catch up to them? We are your premier Northwestern Sports Podcast! Episode 473: Minnesota 41-Northwestern 14
Well, we knew that the Minnesota OL was amazing and that it really didn’t matter who was running the ball for them. Already down their top 2 RBs for the season and their 3rd RB going out early, they still had 2 backs go for over 100 yards as they controlled the ball and the clock, wearing out the NU defense. The Cats’ season seems to be circling down the drain, but with Iowa coming into Ryan Field this weekend, we will get to see another offense just as lost as NU’s is.
