Episode 332: Music City Bowl Bound

The matchups are set, flights and hotels booked and we’re all ready to get into Bowl Season! Northwestern will be taking on Kentucky at the Music City Bowl in Nashville in a battle for Wildcat supremacy.  We take a quick look at Kentucky before we get into some of the other big Bowls. We also ride the insanity of the coaching carousel, although as crazy as it’s been, we should maybe call it the coaching roller coaster.  Finally, we check in on hoops as NU gets further into a bit of an odd start to the season. We are your premier Northwestern Sports Podcast! You can download the episode from iTunes or directly from here.

Our 2017 picks contest is coming to a head going into bowl season.

Erik went 1/2 in Championship week and keeping his lead with 47 points: South Florida (9) USC (11) Auburn (10) NC State (8) and Notre Dame (9)

John went 2/2, closing the gap with Erik at 46 points. John also has the only playoff team, so he has 6 possible points remaining.: Alabama (11) Boise St (10) Northwestern (9) Texas (6) and Florida Atlantic (10)

Sam is out of it again this season only going 1/2 and sitting on 41 points. The Notre Dame overlap and the gap make catching Erik mathematically impossible: Ohio State (10) Florida State (6) Oklahoma State (9) Oregon (7) and Notre Dame (9)
