Episode 501: Duke 31-Northwestern 23

Northwestern’s September woes reared their ugly heads once again as the Cats dug themselves a big hole that was just a little too big to clamber out of. Evan Hull and Ryan Hilinski had incredible games, but a few bounces the wrong way, fumbles an inch too soon and Duke being in the right place at the right time combined with a potent Blue Devil rushing attack was too much to overcome. 2022 Summer Previews: Duke

The Cats’ second game of the season comes after returning from Ireland. Duke was not a great team last year but NU really put up a stinker in Durham. Will 2022 present an opportunity to exact some revenge from last year? What does Duke look like without David Cutcliffe at the helm? We are your premier Northwestern Sports Podcast! Episode 467: Duke 30-Northwestern 23

To call that first half against Duke a miserable time would be too generous. There are a lot of adjectives that we could use to describe it, but fundamentally, it was just embarrassing. The second half was a different story, but the Cats just ran out of time. We feel your pain as we try to figure out what the hell is going on with this team and how we can mentally re-adjust our expectations for the rest of the season. Episode 466: Northwestern 24-Indiana St. 6 w/Jay Sharman

While Indiana State was certainly what the doctor ordered to get the bad taste of the opener out of our mouths, there is still some rumblings of discontent amongst Wildcat faithful. We had to bring in Jay Sharman (aka Lake the Posts) to help us take the temperature of the fanbase, get our heads around the annual “September Swoon” and prepare us all mentally for this weekend’s game against Duke.
