It would be easy to chalk this game up to just being a rivalry game in the snow, but there was a lot more going on than just that in Northwestern’s 7 point loss to Illinois. The saying goes “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas”, but for this Northwestern team, that Las Vegas Bowl trophy will be leaving Vegas and putting up permanent residence in Evanston. The Cats rode on the backs of the Defense and a gutsy performance from Ben Bryant and the Offense to grind out a 14-7 win over Utah. With the whole band back together, we look back again at the Northwestern win in the Music City Bowl before recapping a wild National Championship game between Alabama and Georgia. Erik went 3/5 in the bowls and winds up with 50 points: South Florida (10) USC (11) Auburn (10) NC State (9) and Notre Dame (10)
Sam went 4/5 in the bowls to finish with 45 points: Ohio State (11) Florida State (7) Oklahoma State (10) Oregon (7) and Notre Dame (10)
